GitHub

Use GitHub for code, documentation, collaboration, and canonical subproject repositories.

GeoEpi generally uses GitHub for version-controlled code, documentation, issue and review discussions, collaboration, and canonical subproject repositories. The GeoEpi organization is the normal home for lab-owned subprojects and hosts the operational GeoEpi Hub.

Repositories may also live in individual accounts, forks, external upstreams, or collaborator-owned organizations. Identify one canonical working repository for each subproject so the Hub registry and synchronization workflow have one stable source.

GitHub is not a storage system for controlled data, credentials, tokens, or large computational outputs. Use approved storage and computation environments, and link to them from the repository when appropriate.
