## 1. Expected data types

Describe data the project will collect, generate, receive, or reuse. Include important metadata, samples, code, models, or other derived research objects.

## 2. Data formats and standards

List important raw and processed formats, schemas, data dictionaries, naming conventions, and community standards.

## 3. Data storage and preservation

Record working locations, authoritative copies, backup and recovery arrangements, retention, preservation or repository plans, and the people responsible for maintaining access.

## 4. Data sharing, protection, and public access

Describe who may access data during and after the project, restrictions or agreements, embargoes, licenses, de-identification or aggregation, and the planned public or restricted access route. Use the principle: **as open as possible and as restricted as necessary**.

## 5. Roles and responsibilities

Identify the project lead, data steward, access or agreement contacts, repository or storage responsibilities, and a continuity plan if a key person leaves.

## 6. Monitoring and review/reporting

Describe how the project will review implementation, data sharing, changes to agreements or storage, and reporting obligations. Record the next review date and responsible person.

## Notes and links

Link to the controlled-data inventory, relevant agreements, repositories, and subproject documentation. This is a project-level plan; subprojects should record the exact data and processing used by each analysis in their own provenance records.
